Opening Hours

The Centre's operating hours are 7.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 49 weeks per year.

Closed between Christmas and the New Year period and on gazetted public holidays (dates to be confirmed). 

 

Our Rooms

Merri Community Childcare Centre & Kindergarten Inc is a not-for-profit organisation, that is operated and managed alongside the Director, by a parent Committee of Management. Recently,  the Centre underwent extensive building renovations where another room was added. We now provide quality programs to 49 children on a daily basis. We provide an integrated Kindergarten and Long Day Care program that is funded by the State Government. The integrated Kindergarten sessions operate Monday to Friday 8:30am - 2:30pm during school Terms. 

Our Centre has four rooms where allocations of children are done by age.

  • Explorers Room: Caters to 11 children and is staffed by 1 Qualified Early Childhood Educator and 2 Early Childhood Educators 

  • Discoverers Room: Caters to 11 children and is staffed by 1 Qualified Early Childhood Educator and 2  Early Childhood Educators 

  • Inventors Room: Caters to 11 children and is staffed by 1 Qualified Early Childhood Educator and 1 Early Childhood Educator

  • Funded Kindergarten room:  This room provides an integrated Kindergarten Long Day Care program. It caters for 16 children per day and is staffed by 3 early childhood professionals, including a qualified Kindergarten teacher.
